Buc-ee's Announces 76,000sq ft, 100 Gas Pump Store for Monroe County, Georgia

Beloved road trip stop Buc-ee’s continues its quest to expand nationwide, with a new location coming to Monroe County, Georgia, the chain announced today.

Where will the new Georgia Buc-ee's be located?

The new location will be 1080 Rumble Road in Forsyth, which is currently open land just off I-75. This will be the fourth Buc-ee’s built in Georgia since 2019.

How big will the new Forsyth, Georgia Buc-ee's be?

Buc-ee’s are known for being large structures with plenty of food, retail goods, and gas pumps. According to the company, the Forsyth Buc-ee’s will be 74,000 square feet in size, with 100 gas pumps. It’s not yet known what companies are contracted for the build, but Buc-ee’s says a groundbreaking is set for Tuesday, April 7.

What is the history of Buc-ee's?

Buc-ee’s started in Texas, back in 1982. Since then, its brand has become a regional legend with its beaver logo-clad stores serving as destinations for people travelling through the Lone Star State. In 2019, Buc-ee’s announced a mission to expand nationwide. Since then, the chain has added locations in 14 other states, including Georgia.

The company is also known for its compensation. Buc-ee’s says the Forsyth location will bring at least 200 full time jobs, with “starting pay beginning well above minimum wage,” as well as full benefits, three weeks of vacation, and a 6% matching 401K.
